Test of the Workshops, 07th to 09th Mai, Austria

The Resource Management Agency successfully tested the modules adapted for Austria within the framework of the EU-project ReKuK for vocational training for chefs and executive chefs of large-scale kitchens in sustainable food and kitchen management in the premises of the Bio Forschung Austria from the 07th to 09th May.

6 Cooks and executive chefs and a representative of Styria Vitalis participated. The participants had the opportunity to attend the workshops for free in and give their feedback on the lecture and the teaching materials developed during the cause of the project.

The training sessions were divided into four chapters and broken up with exercises. Discussions and objections were given space. Furthermore, the participants were given the opportunity to examine the teaching documents and to take part in a guided tour through the premises of the Bio Forschung Austria and to visit the "Garden of Diversity" and the "Root Arena".

The test workshops were a great success. The feedback on the individual modules was consistently positive, even with topics such as "energy" and "marketing" which may not come up in the kitchens every day were well received. The participants felt in good hands and informed.
